Alex made sure I woke up at 7am this morning so I could make cookies. Why did he want me to make cookies (other than the fact that cookies are YUMMY in my TUMMY!), you ask? So he could bring some over to his friend. His friend knows about my cookies, and wanted to try some, so Alex told her I would make her some. *__* Well, it was nice of him to brag about me, but I usually need a bit more than 3 hours sleep (I stayed up watching the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" [^_^!!!!] with dad), so next time I'll make them the night before.

Any-hoo, I just wanted to post the recipe because it is not only yummy and gooey and chocolatey, but it is also fool-proof. So there ya go! ^_^

Note: If you fail to bake this correctly after your second try, I will have to hunt you down and smack you.

Other Note: My father is diabetic, so whenever I bake I cut down on the fat and sugar. I personally think the cookies are the best they can be, but if you feel they aren't sweet enough, add perhaps 1/4 more cup of brown sugar. Try the recipe as it's written first, please.

Leilani-Noel's Infamous Choco-Chip Cookies

Ingredients:
2 sticks (1 cup) butter/margerine
1/2 cup of granulated sugar
1/2 cup of brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons Vanilla
3 cups of all-purpose flour (Please spoon it into the cup, it does make a difference)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 6oz packages (1 1/2 cups) chocolate chips
(Optional:) 1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Heat oven ti 375 degrees F. Dump butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla into a large bowl, and blend together. Mix in remaining ingredients.

Drop dough by round teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or until light brown. Cool slightly before removing from the baking sheet.
